Mary’s latest exhibition at the Tamar Valley Centre attracted many visitors and more than 80% of her distinctive oils, painted out-of-doors, in all seasons, were sold. The works reflected Mary’s continued appreciation of her beloved home area, all closely observed and portrayed, revealing the fragile beauty of the land that deserves our attention and careful protection.

Bluebells, the tidal river, ferny woodland, fields of daffodils, canopies of blossom, and boughs of fruit in the orchard of local varieties planted by Mary and her husband James more than 30 years ago, contrasted with lavish autumn colours and ever rarer touches of ice and snow.
